Your profile
Change your name, phone number and designation, choose which conversation opens first, and set your persona, theme and notifications in Settings.
Your personal settings live on one page. Select Settings near the bottom of the sidebar. In the stacked layout, open the menu under your initials at the top right and select Settings.
The page has six tabs: Account, Organization, Persona, Theme, Notifications and Integrations. On a phone, pick a tab from the list at the top of the page instead.
Account
Account opens first. It holds your Personal Information, how conversations open, and call forwarding.
Change your details
- On the Account tab, select Edit at the top right of Personal Information.
- Change what you need:
- Full Name: the name your teammates see.
- Email: the address you sign in with. Two people can’t use the same email.
- Phone Number: your own number, as +1 followed by 10 digits. It can’t be one of your organization’s texting numbers.
- Designation: your job title, for example Loan Advisor.
- Select Save. To leave without saving, select Cancel.
You can’t change Access Role, your role in Tether Relay. It shows the role’s system name, for example SALES_REP for a Sales rep. If it looks wrong, ask your Admin. See Departments and users for what each role can do.
There’s no password field here. To change your password, ask an Admin to reset it for you.
Choose which conversation opens
A contact can have several conversations, for example a text thread and a web chat. Conversation Open Behavior decides which one opens when you select that contact.
- On the Account tab, open the list under Conversation Open Behavior. You don’t need to select Edit first.
- Choose one:
- Last viewed conversation (default): the conversation you had open last time.
- Most recent conversation: the conversation with the newest message.
The change saves straight away, and Conversation open behavior updated confirms it.
Call forwarding
The Call Forwarding section has an Enable Call Forwarding switch, described as “Forward incoming calls to your specified phone number.” Call forwarding depends on your organization’s calling setup, which your Admin manages. If you need your calls forwarded, ask your Admin.
API Integration
Admins and Department heads see an API Integration card under Personal Information. Your API Key lets another system send leads into your outreach configurations.
- Select the copy icon to copy the key.
- Select View API Documentation to see an example request.
- Select Regenerate API Key to replace the key. The old key stops working straight away, so any system that uses it needs the new one.
Treat the key like a password: don’t share it or paste it anywhere public.
Organization
Organization shows your organization’s name, phone number and address. You can’t change them here. Admins edit them in Organization configuration.
Persona
Persona holds details AI agents can use when they write on your behalf: User, Position, Email, Organization, Organization Address, Lead Provider, Organization Website, Organization City and Region. Each field shows the placeholder an agent’s instructions use to insert it, such as @self.position.
- Select Edit on the Persona Information card.
- Fill in or change the fields.
- Select Save.
Business hours and timezone
The Business Hours & Timezone card shows your working week. The badge next to its title says where the hours come from: Source: organization defaults or Source: your override.
Most organizations set business hours for everyone. In that case the card says that business hours are managed by your organization administrator, and you can’t change them here. If your Admin lets people set their own hours, select Edit on the card, choose Your Timezone, switch days on or off and set their start and end times, then select Save. Reset to organization defaults goes back to your organization’s hours.
Holidays and exceptional days always come from your organization. See Organization configuration.
Theme
The sun or moon button at the bottom of the sidebar switches between light and dark. Theme adds more choices:
- Base Color: the background and card colours.
- Accent Color: the colour of buttons and highlights.
- Card Style: Minimal for flat cards or Elevated for cards with depth.
- Super Dark Mode: a very high contrast dark mode.
Changes apply straight away and the Preview underneath shows how they look. They’re saved in this browser only, so another computer keeps its own look.
Notifications
Notifications sets the sound new notifications make and which kinds you get.
Sound
Under Notification Settings, turn Enable Notification Sounds on or off and drag Volume. Select the play button to hear a test sound. Then select Save Changes.
Which notifications you get
Under Notification Preferences, switch on the kinds you want. Anything you switch off doesn’t appear in your notifications at all. Select Save Preferences when you’re done.

|---|---|---|
| AI Response Notifications | Autopilot sends a message to a customer | Off |

To read your notifications, see Tour of the app.
Integrations
Integrations connects your Google account so you can import contacts from Google Sheets.
- On the Integrations tab, find Google Spreadsheet.
- Select Connect Google Account and sign in to Google.
- When you’re back, the card shows your Google address with Connected.
To disconnect, select Disconnect on the same card.
