What is AI workflow automation?
AI workflow automation chains triggers, AI decisions and actions into a repeatable multi-step process. An event such as a new message or call starts the workflow, AI steps classify, extract or draft, conditions route the result, and actions update records, send messages or escalate.
Traditional automation follows fixed rules and breaks on anything unstructured. Adding AI steps lets a workflow read a free-text message, work out what the customer wants and pick the right branch, while the surrounding structure keeps the process predictable.
Good workflows are visible and editable: a person can see every step, what the AI is allowed to decide and where a human approves.
